Heavy machinery started moving in this week

The Fulton County Medical Center’s new building project officially began on Monday June 12, 2006 with the installation of the erosion and sediment control fence.  By the end of the week, the heavy equipment started stripping the topsoil and began the bulk cut/fill operation.  The earthwork involves moving almost 50,000 cubic yards of soil.  The site is in a flurry of activity.  The project is estimated to continue through October 2007 with the official open for business date of December 1, 2007.
