As Fulton County Medical Center keeps pace with the rapid advances in the medical field, we continue providing quality healthcare right where Fulton County residents need it most... close to home. The following is a list of services and programs offered at FCMC.

Cardiac Rehab Program:

The program is designed to help people with known heart problems through a comprehensive plan of recovery including health education, exercise, and support to encourage heart healthy behavior.  The exercise program includes individualized sessions three times a week for 12 weeks. (717)485-6149

Our goal is to provide diabetic education to the community so that they may participate in the management of their care and prevent or delay complication of the disease. (717)485-3309

Critical Care:

A highly skilled team of health care professionals provide around the clock monitoring and intensive care for critically ill patients.

Emergency Services:

Our Emergency Department is staffed by three full time, physicians and emergency nurses  are on duty to tend to major and minor illnesses or injuries 24 hours a day. We offer 24 hour laboratory, radiology, and CAT scan procedures. (717)485-6100

Home Care Program:

We bring specialized health services into the home of persons who need intensive, ongoing care, as well as short-term follow-up care. Home care services offered include skilled nursing care, home health aides, IV and chemotherapy, wound care, physical and speech therapy. (717)485-6118

Laboratory:

The laboratory at FCMC is a state-of-the-art computerized facility providing comprehensive clinical testing based on your physician's orders. The full-service laboratory is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, for inpatient services. Outpatient testing hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (717)485-6102

Medical/Surgical:

The 25-bed Medical/Surgical unit offers quality nursing care to a wide variety of patients. Our low patient to nurse ratio allows us to provide one on one education during their hospital stay. (717)485-6104

Nursing Home:

Fulton County Medical Center Nursing Home is a 57 bed, Hospital-based nursing home. The advantages of a Hospital-based nursing facility include the direct availability of ancillary services such as lab, x-ray, EKG, respiratory therapy, and 24 hour physician availability for emergencies. Nutritional  Services:

In addition to serving meals each day to our patients, employees and residents, this department provides a variety of nutritional counseling services.(717)485-6142

Occupational Therapy is defined as the use of purposeful/occupational activity with individuals and groups who are limited by physical, cogitative, or psychosocial dysfunction due to injury, illness, developmental delay, disability or aging to maximize independence. (717)485-6850

Physical Therapy:

Physical Therapy is defined as the service that maximizes movement potential through prevention, treatment, and rehabilitation.  Our department offers therapy services to our outpatient clients, acute care and swing bed patients, long term care residents, and home care patients.  Our goal in therapy is to focus on restoring patients residents function through various techniques and modalities.  (717)485-6108

Pulmonary Rehabilitation:

The program is designed to help those with asthma, emphysema, chronic bronchitis, COPD, or other lung disorders. Our goal is to help individuals achieve the best possible lung function through an individualized exercise and education program. (717)485-6149

Radiology Services:

Outpatient radiological testing including General Diagnostic exams, CT Scans, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound procedures, Dexa Scans and MRI scans are available. Our new state-of-the-art MRI is available Monday through Friday. (717)485-6107

Respiratory Therapy:

Our respiratory therapists  are specially trained in administering prescribed breathing treatments, oxygen therapy, EEG's, stress tests, and  pulmonary function tests. We also offer nuclear stress testing & EKG's  (717)485-6143

Speech Therapy:

 The Speech-Language Pathologists (also known as therapists) evaluate, diagnose, and treat individuals with speech, language, cognitive communication and swallowing disorders skills needed to enhance daily living.    (717)485-6108

Social Services:

Our Social Work staff helps patients and their families deal with emotional, financial, and social stress that accompanies illness and hospitalization. This may include talking with family members and patients about services available in the community, or working to ensure that appropriate plans and services are in place at the time of discharge.   (717)485-6841

Surgery:

Offering Outpatient Surgeries. We offer pre- and post-operative care and education for our surgical patients to help speed up the recovery process.   (717)485-6117

Tobacco Cessation & Prevention:

The Fulton County Tobacco & Cessation Coordinator works with the PA Department of Health and the American Cancer Society to help smokers quit.   (717)485-6853.
